‍‍‍ Dance Educators Internati‍‍‍onal's Dance Teacher Certification - Level 1 ‍‍‍‍‍‍

Dance Educators International's two day dance teacher certification offers a hands-on practical approach to key teaching fundamentals and can be applied to multiple dance genres, level and ages. Led by experienced industry professionals, this course provides essential pedagogical knowledge and skills as well as how to integrate these concepts into your everyday classroom. Our comprehensive Teacher Manual will be used throughout the course providing; information, examples, ideas, guides and templates, giving teachers the ability to integrate better teaching practices into their daily teaching routines. Course topics will include; lesson planning, classroom management, creativity in class, anatomy and dance injury prevention, conditioning for dancers and career support and guidance. Participants will have opportunities to explore practical teaching skills with their peers and the course will be completed with a final written and practical exam. Successful teachers will be mailed a DEI dance teacher certificate and included on our certified teacher roster.

DEI's Certificate program enhances your existing dance knowledge and experience using carefully crafted resources and workshops.  Building your confidence in the classroom and optimizing your teaching abilities and practices.  Course Format Each topic will be covered in a workshop style format. The teacher manual will support each lesson and participants will have opportunities to practice new skills working in partners and small groups. Facilitated discussions and opportunities for question/answer periods will be explored throughout the day.  Course Level Level 1 is provided for novice to mid career dance teachers. All participants should have a comprehensive dance background in their dance style and want to enter the teaching industry or develop better teaching practices.‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
